2022 International Student Ambassador Award Ceremony

On June 16, EduNova hosted the third annual Nova Scotia International Student Program (NSISP) International Student Ambassador Award Ceremony. Nancy MacLellan, Deputy Minister for the Nova Scotia Department of Advanced Education, and Stephen Augustine, Hereditary Chief of the Mi’kmaq Grand Council and Associate Vice President of Indigenous Affairs and Unama’ki College at Cape Breton University, opened the ceremony with commencement remarks.

The ceremony celebrated the contributions of 23 Nova Scotian students who actively participated in NSISP’s Nova Scotia Student Ambassador Program during their high school studies. The Nova Scotia Student Ambassador Program offers Nova Scotian students the opportunity to engage in intercultural training with the goal of welcoming international students to high schools and communities across the province. These student ambassadors will continue this work as they embark on their university and college studies at campuses across the province in September, helping to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students. The 2022 award winners are graduating from high schools across the province and are attending nine of the region’s 11 post-secondary institutions.

The International Student Ambassador Awards are generously supported by the Nova Scotia Department of Advanced Education.
