Study and Stay™ Foundations Program Internship Awards
EduNova hosted a virtual graduation ceremony for the recipients of the Nova Scotia International Student Program (NSISP) International Ambassador Awards on July 5. NSISP International Ambassadors are an outstanding group of Nova Scotian students who volunteer in their junior and senior years of high school to welcome more than 1,500 international students participating in the NSISP program. In recognition of their contributions NSISP International Ambassadors are eligible to receive a $2,000 tuition award to attend one of Nova Scotia’s ten universities or the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC). In Fall 2023, these students will serve as peer mentors in the Study and Stay™ – Nova Scotia Foundations Internship Program.
Study and Stay™ Foundations Program Summer Activities
The Study and Stay™ Foundations Program organized their first hike at the Shaw Wilderness Park on Saturday, July 15, and it was a great success! Current Study and Stay students and recent grads joined forces for an unforgettable adventure where new friendships bloomed, new connections were forged, and the beauty of Nova Scotia’s outdoors amazed the entire group. The next event will be held leaving from Point Pleasant Park in Halifax on Saturday, August 5th. Registration is open now!

Upcoming Events: Study and Stay™ Entrepreneurship Program
Pitch Competition
Date: August 2, from 9 am-4 pm
Location: Saint Mary’s University, Halifax
The 2023 cohort of the Study and Stay™ Entrepreneurship Program will meet for the final activity in the program, an in-person Pitch Competition, next Wednesday, August 2nd, from 9 am to 4 pm in-person at Saint Mary’s University. At the event, students will showcase the entrepreneurship skills learned during the program, network with peers and mentors, and pitch their business ideas. Guest judges will evaluate the business ideas, and participants can win up to $10,000 as an incentive to advance their business plans.
