July 18-25, 2016, Acadia University, Cape Breton University, Dalhousie University (Halifax & Truro campuses), Mount Saint Vincent University, NSCAD University, Saint Mary’s University, St FX University, University of King’s College, and Université Sainte-Anne hosted a delegation of incoming counsellors for a week-long tour of Nova Scotia’s impressive educational opportunities.
Delegates were very pleased with their visit. They thought the organization was excellent and felt that the tour met their needs. The visit opened their eyes to the quality, diversity and affordability of education options in Nova Scotia. They were impressed with our universities’ facilities and felt that they had students who would be the ‘right fit’ for most institutions. The counsellors were astounded by the beautiful scenery and the incredible friendliness of the people met during their visit. Participants stated that the timing of the tour and schedule were excellent.
Results: A participating counsellor from the Bahamas brought 74 students for a tour of several Nova Scotia university campuses and participated in a recruitment event with 9 post-secondary institutions in Nova Scotia in April 2017.
