The Study and Stay and Stay in Nova Scotia programs were created through the Student Recruitment and Retention Working Committee, a sub-committee of the Innovation Team, and are being managed by EduNova. Both programs were launched by Premier McNeil – the first in Suzhou, China in September 2016 and the second in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia in October 2016.
These programs are unique in Canada, if not the World, and demonstrate Nova Scotia’s commitment to attracting and retaining international students and to building a province where newcomers are welcomed, celebrated and supported. Study and Stay and Stay in Nova Scotia directly address the objectives of the One Nova Scotia Report, working towards the report’s goal of retaining 10% of international students in Nova Scotia post-graduation, and the immigration goals of Atlantic Growth Strategy.
