The Stay in Nova Scotia (STAY-NS) program provides employment and labour market support to 50 final-year international students from across the province. The objective of STAY-NS is to support international students to live, work and build meaningful professional connections in Nova Scotia, with the goal of retaining 80% of the cohort in our province one year post-graduation.
To date, 22 of the 50 students in the STAY-NS cohort have secured jobs for when they graduate. We are actively working with all students, in partnership with Venor Youth Employment, to connect them with employers and promote the Workplace Voucher Program that helps offset the cost of hiring these students post-graduation.
