May 2, 2019 (Halifax, N.S.) – EduNova Cooperative Limited and its Board of Directors are announcing that effective June 2, 2019, President & CEO Wendy Luther will leave the organization to become President & CEO of Halifax Partnership

Over the past six and a half years Luther has created an environment of collaboration and innovation within the EduNova organization and with partners around the world. Some of her most notable accomplishments include developing the award-winning Study and Stay™ program, which was expanded across the Atlantic region in 2018; securing funding and sector support for dozens of student recruitment and retention initiatives, including the Nova Scotia Airport Welcome; leading the organization through two comprehensive strategic planning processes; and restructuring EduNova’s governance model for greater profile and impact.

Under her leadership in 2017, EduNova was honoured with the prestigious international PIEoneer Association of the Year Award, shortlisted with organizations from China, Australia and the United States.

EduNova Board Chair, Dianne Taylor-Gearing comments, “Wendy exemplifies the vision and leading-edge thinking required as Halifax continues on this positive path, in international recruitment and beyond. The EduNova organization has benefitted tremendously from Wendy’s insights, business acumen and broad global network. We are sorry to say farewell but thrilled for this new opportunity and the remarkable contributions she will make in this exciting new era for Halifax.”

The Board will lead the search for the next leader of EduNova. The organization wishes to thank Wendy for her leadership and commitment to advancing the cause of Nova Scotia’s education and training expertise internationally.
