Job Posting: Events and Digital Content Coordinator


The Events and Digital Content Coordinator is responsible for coordinating in-person and digital (or hybrid) events, conferences and webinars for international student initiatives. This position will be responsible for content creation to support iCent app technology and e-learning, including the design and editing digital materials, such as posters, videos, and other digital means of storytelling, learning, and audience engagement.

This position will work with and support a team of Retention Coordinators in developing online and in-person resources and opportunities using online app technology to support international students during their studies at a Nova Scotia university or college. This position will work with EduNova and members to support the goal of supporting and retaining international students in Nova Scotia.

Working in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent deadlines and various stakeholders, the Events and Digital Content Coordinator must have a strong client-service orientation, and be comfortable using technology that supports online and in-person programming. The successful candidate will work closely with EduNova staff, international students, Nova Scotia’s post-secondary educational institutions, provincial and federal government departments, mentors, and employers from various sectors across Nova Scotia.

EduNova’s Senior Manager, Student Success and Retention

• Digital content creation for EduNova’s Study and Stay initiatives: design and editing of digital materials such as posters, videos, and other digital means of storytelling, learning, and audience engagement
• Support the use of technology for educational learning
• Create online and in-person webinars, workshops, and e-learning events using the iCent app
• Coordinate international student retention activities and events (in-person and online)
• Manage and oversee all technology used during in-person and online events
• Support other EduNova retention initiatives as required

• Experience and skilled in coordinating live events (online and in-person)
• Experience and skilled in digital content creation including creation of videos and marketing materials
• Comfortable using new technologies and managing documents in cloud environments
• Strong computer skills: highly proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Outlook
• Experience publishing content and tracking results on popular social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with meticulous attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
• Ability to anticipate issues and risks, with confidence to make independent decisions
• Excellent interpersonal and social skills with a professional and effective manner in working with the public, EduNova members, university staff and faculty and international contacts
• Able to multi-task and work independently in a dynamic and diverse environment with numerous interruptions and constantly changing priorities
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel across the province
• Knowledge of app technology an asset
• International student support experience is an asset
• Knowledge of Nova Scotia’s education and training sector is an asset

Salary, compensation and work benefits:
• Full-time contract
• Salary is $50,000 per year, plus competitive benefits package
